FloorCurling Recovery Cup

To further promote the integration of sport and recovery concept in mental health, the FloorCurling Recovery Cup was held in October 2021.  A total of 18 contestants in a mixed teams of service users and staff participated the events.  A paper on “Recovery through Sport and physical activity: A pilot study on the effectiveness of the FloorCurling for people with Severe Mental Illness” was being accepted for E-poster presentation in the 22nd WPA World Congress of Psychiatry.

 

Immersive Virtual Reality (VR) - 『智醒樂與路』

Immersive Virtual Reality (VR) was further developed to address the road safety for patients with cognitive impairment. Patient could practice street-crossing task in a high fidelity and safe virtual environment. Department will conduct a pilot study to evaluate service effectiveness.

 

Protocol-driven tele-care Service

Protocol-driven tele-care service model and application of rehabilitation mobile via HA GO prescription was strengthened to maintain patient’s accessibility to OT service during COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Life Legend on the Stage

Mental health promotion project - “Life Legend on the Stage” was held on 11 January 2020 to promote de-stigmatization in form of dramatic play of recovery story sharing.  An overwhelming response from the participants was received.

 

Immersive Virtual Reality (VR)

The application of innovative technology continued in which immersive Virtual Reality (VR) was developed for vocational rehabilitation, which provided high fidelity of work simulation to promote patient engagement and service outcome.

 


 

Virtual Reality Application In Occupational Therapy

The innovative Virtual Reality (VR) project of "Risk Screening & Intervention for Clients with Dementia" was completed.  The product was submitted for competition in the 7th APAC Eldercare Innovation Awards 2019 held in Singapore by our partner.
